Vessels of Honour

From The Pastor’s Desk — Sunday, November 26, 2017

2 Timothy 2:20 “But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour”.

We are the ones who determine which kind of vessel we will be.  I believe to be a vessel of honour we must, cleanse ourselves, and separate ourselves from the contaminated things of the world. The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 2:21 “If a man therefore purge himself from these he shall be a vessel of honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.”

We must make a decision today to separate and purge ourselves from, the affairs of this life, from backsliding and denying the lord, from unbelief which is sin, from false doctrines that destroy our faith, from vain talking which the Bible calls babblings, and from all iniquity.

God is doing some exciting things in the midst of his people. We are seeing signs, wonders and miracles! I believe he is paving the way for his soon return. If you have not made a total commitment to be a vessel of honour, do it today! Study the Word and get your will in line with his will. Let the Holy Ghost guide you into all truth. Leave the ways of the world behind and let’s walk in the ways of God, so that we will be Vessels of Honor, meet for the master’s use.
