1 Peter 1:23, Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.
Incredibly, the same seed that was implanted in the virgin’s womb was the living Word, sown in the good ground of our hearts, whereby we were born from above. In Genesis 1:11-12, this divine law or principle is first seen, where we understand that everything reproduces after its own “kind,” its own “sort or species”. When you squeeze a real Christian, God comes out.
That same kind of seed, producing the same image, is incorruptible or indestructible. Don’t be nervous, it cannot decay. All hell may be breaking loose in the external, circumstantial, appearance realm; but the seed is okay. Lions can’t eat it, water can’t drown it and fire can’t burn it! We have been begotten again by the word of truth. You may look like a basket case, but there is something real going on inside? The hope we hold for ourselves and our children lies within the indwelling seed.
